Assignment #3; due Tuesday, April 26, 2011.
Answer the following two questions and don't forget
To put your name. 1) what does the Death and Resurrection of
Christ mean to you, personally?
2)If, or when you are tempted what should or do you do? (hint-Jesus
gave us something specific to do when faced with temptation).
Ashley W.
ReplyDelete1) The Death and Resurrection of Christ means a lot to me because as a Christian that is our reason of our faith. Because if Christ didn't die and come back to life our whole religion would be pointless. Then i could follow any other religion and still have the same end result, death. And with how horrible our life can get at times and knowing that out of life thats all we get... there's nothing worth living for.
2)When we are tempted we should talk with God and ask for his help. And recite memory verses.
Hector Roldan
ReplyDelete1) the death and ressurection of Christ means alot because he said that was gonna happen. And because he said he would do it I would think everything else he said was true. And I'm talking about if I lived in that time. It's still important to me now because Jesus iis the only way to get to heaven and I believe in him.
2)Think of god. There is no other way to stop temption. When I think of god while I do a sin it makes me feel like he's watching and then I wanna stop doing it.
You guys are doing awesome! So proud of you! :)
ReplyDelete1)it means alot to me that the son of GOD would want to to die for me and other people in this world for our sins and to show how much he loves us
ReplyDelete2)when we Are tempted we should turn to christor read the bible and getdistracted of whatever is tempting us
Ashlee Smith
ReplyDeletePeriod 2
The death of Christ shows alot to myself personally; the fact that He would willingly die for me, let alone the all the wrong i have done in my life it unbelievable. The resurrection shows that He is a living God; not jus one to be buried and never seen again.
When we are tempted we should turn on mind to God and seek for His way out rather than our own.
Szczepanski :)
ReplyDelete1) It means everything to me that Christ died on the cross for my sins. He went through all the pain and humiliation because He loved me and He didn't want me to suffer.
2) When faced with temptations you should also have an attitude of victory over it before you even face it. Also, don't make provisions for the flesh, you will be way more likely to crack under pressure!
Sarah
ReplyDeleteThey mean so much to me because Christ died on the cross just for my sins and for the sins of everyone else even though we do not deserve it at all.
When we are tempted we need to go to god for help and ask him to calm us and help us through our time of need. AND HE WILL!!!!
Diana Richter :)
ReplyDelete1) christ's death and his resurection mean so much to me, it means i am forgiven even though i dont deserve it and he gives me the chance to be with God.
2) to fight temptation is possible through prayer and Bible study, and we are also supposed to physically flee from it. that means to stay away from bad influences.
when we ask GOd for help, he will help us and make us stronger
1. The death means a lot to me in the sense that I know of an individual who laid his life down for me, thousands of years b4 I was born. The ressurection just blows my mind because it defys the laws of physics, and shows why christanity is diffrent from any other religon.
ReplyDelete2. Turn to God, and seek his guidance. Only he can give us power to overcome our sin and teemptation.
DA POPE
ReplyDelete#1 i believe without jesus doing what he did for us we would all be in hell cause without jesus dieing on the cross for are sins it would even worse here on earth.
#2 when im
Chris Montoya:
ReplyDelete1) the death and resurrection of Christ means more than words can explain. The fact that He would die for me and my sins is truly amazing. I dont know anybody that would be soo willing to do so for me. He is an amazing GOD and deserves everything that I have.
2) when we are faced with temptation we should immediately go to the lord for wisdom and strength. We should listen to what the Holy Spirit has to say and pray. Without his strength we will fall to all temptation thrown at us.
Chris Montoya:
ReplyDeleteTo Ashlee smith:
I totally agree with what you have to say. I believe that your mind should be set on his will and not your own. Most of the time when are in those situations we immediately think about ourselfs and how we can get out of the situation instead of acknowledging that he is right there to help us through any temptation.
Jason Parrish
ReplyDelete1)it means alot to me that the son of GOD would want to to die for me and for other people who have made mistakes, he died for our sins and to show how much he loves us
2)when we Are tempted we should turn to Christ and read the bible and get all other distractions and whatever is tempting us of our mind
#1 The death and resurection of Christ to me meant the sheer power he had and to suffer for us? very deep #2 remember his word or reading the bible to get spiritual moral up.
ReplyDeleteDerek Cannon
ReplyDelete1. the resurrection means that God can do anything.
2. God gave the bible and prayer.
miles
ReplyDeletethe death and resurrection means to me is that i know that theres hope when i feel down i know all i have to do is think of that and bamm i remember him and his name i thank him for dying for mebecause if that didnt happon i would be nothing just another seed in the world.
2.when i am tempted i turn away especally when i know its with something i shouldnt do i mean i lose against temptations all the time but i know that its not or ever to late to turn to god and pray about it.
Jeremy Ayala.
ReplyDelete1) Christ's death to me means that now, rather than being covered, i am completely forgiven of the sins i commit. His resurrection says that the God that i serve is powerful, overcoming even death.
2) Well, besides the obvious quick prayer, i should take a second to debate what the consequences will be and whether or not i'm willing to pass up a perfectly good opportunity to do what i know is right and will make Him proud.
honestly the death and ressurection dosnt really mean anything to me because im still lost and not sure what to believe in
ReplyDelete2)and to fight temptation God gave us the bible and prayer
<3 Brandi <3 the daeath and resurrection of christ is very important to me. it proves that jesus can do anything- literally. if jesus just died and didnt come back to life i probably wouldnt believe him- it shows that he is really special and mighty, that he can actually come back to life.
ReplyDeleteyou have said to recite scripture when you are tempted. and if all else fails run away...
Nick
ReplyDelete1) Jesus' resurrection means we have forgiveness of our sins. It means we can have eternal life. It means we can live without fear of damnation. We can have life through Him. It also means we can freely communicate with the Father, because Jesus' atoning for our sins let us once again be with God.
2) If we are tempted, we are to pray and flee from the temptation.
Lesleigh Walker:
ReplyDelete1.) I feel that it is hard to say that his resurrection was false. If you look in the book Isaiah(Chapters 52-53) you see that it was prophecied in years before Jesus' very own birth along with his death and resurrection. I feel it's amazing that someone would die me with all of the bad things I've done. And not only me me but the whole human race.
2.) Temptation, even for those of us who are what you would called disciplined, is a very difficult trail to over come. One of my major temptations is to be a procrastinator because I love just sleeping on the couchand then watching TV. I'm able to get school work done, but I feel bad because I didn't put in the time to actually gaive the project my all because I know what my best is and I'm not reaching my full potential. The one thing I di is pray to God to help give that boost of energy to help me finish my assignment, because I think, if I keep procrastinating, how in the world am I going to get through college.
